College Success

In 2017, we concluded that it is not enough for our students to graduate from high school and matriculate into college. As first-generation low-income college students, though they aspire to continue their education, many experience difficulty adjusting to a new academic environment and navigating an unfamiliar bureaucracy of class registration, financial aid, and student services. In response to this need, we formalized much of the support that we had provided students on an ad-hoc basis as they transitioned to college. Our College Success Program provides students with the guidance and support they need to excel in higher education. Our holistic College Success program promotes increased academic confidence and a sense of belonging for students who have been perpetually underserved by higher education institutions. We believe that all our students can thrive in college when equipped with the right resources.
